The East Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl (ETCSB) is a non-profit organization established to
assist in providing nourishment to individuals on the east side of Tuscaloosa. The center is
currently located in Druid Hills United Methodist Church. We serve hot meals from 12 noon to
1pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

ETCSB began in May 2005 with 50 brown bag lunches served on Sunday afternoons in the
parking lot of a local grocery store in Alberta City. Today, we serve over 1000 hot
meals per month. We collaborate with other service organizations in our community to help
provide for other needs of our clients.

During the time of the Covid pandemic, we are proud that we were able to adjust our service to
continue providing food to our clients through bags of groceries that they could prepare at
home and sack lunches.

The delicious and nutritious meals are prepared by our volunteer teams. ETCSB is supported
through donations from individuals, churches, and civic organizations. We are grateful for our
volunteers and donors that keep our organization operating. ETCSB is governed by a board
made up of representatives from a number of different churches.
